ITVX Design System: Branding design and application
Before the launch of ITVX, a comprehensive design system was being built by the small team within Product. When I joined the team we began the task of branding the design system to make it it’s own entity. The name ‘Mosaic’ best represented the buildable nature of the design system - of parts coming together to make something bigger.
A series of geometric tile shapes were created along with 6 core colours to represent Mosaic’s values: Innovation, Community, Accessible, Connected, Consistent and Seamless. I created a suite of logos and design assets along with brand guidelines and applied the branding across our figma libraries, internal presentations and team channels.
Finally, we began the process of creating a single source of truth in zeroheight to better connect designers and developers. I applied the Mosaic branding to our documentation imagery cards and headers using a visual language that was more technical and indicative to our figma components.
